Vehicle Warranty with a difference - you.

It's designed by you - for you. Simply build your warranty to suit your needs from the following..

  • Bear in mind our warranties cover wear and tear as standard on all levels of cover*,
  • We offer 3 levels of cover to suit your needs and fit your budget,
  • You can choose from 3 periods of protection 1 - 3 years to fix your costs and beat inflation!
  • A choice of 2 labour rates are available to help you choose your preferred repairer,
  • Choose from 5 individual claim limits too.

*subject to the mileage based claim contribution as shown in the policy booklet.

Our total claim limit is the original purchase price of your vehicle.

You will not be required to have your vehicle inspected before buying our warranty or have a full service history. If no service history is available you will need to have your vehicle serviced at regular intervals. Please see policy terms and conditions. 

You will however, need to buy our warranty ;

  • a) within 180 days of expiry of an existing warranty,
  • b) before your vehicle reaches 7 years of age and 100,000 miles for the Premier Plus cover,
  • c) before your vehicle reaches 10 years of age and 100,000 miles for the Premier cover,

A 'side by side' comparison can be opened here. This will give you quick a visual indication of the depth of cover for each of our three levels of warranty.

Other inclusive features and benefits of all levels of cover;

  • Up to £30 per day (incl VAT) toward the cost of vehicle hire for a maximum of 7 days.
  • Towing charges up to £100 (incl VAT)
  • Cover is extended for up to 60 days in any 12 month period while the vehicle is in any country of the EU.

Who will provide your protection ?

  • car2cover is simply an on-line retailer of high quality motor insurance based products,
  • Your warranty will be underwritten by Red Sands Insurance Company (Europe) Limited,
  • Your warranty will be administered and claims will be handled by Auto Protect (MBI) Ltd who are also a major and leading UK warranty administration organisation.

Your vehicle repairer options

If you have chosen our network labour rate you may choose to have your vehicle repaired by one of Auto Protect's preferred repairers whose workmanship and quality is closely and continuously monitored. The preferred networks of repairers include Nationwide Autocentres who have over 200 centres nationally and are an AA approved repairer. They can be found at www.nationwideautocentres.co.uk, or National Service Networks who offer a free valet, collection and delivery service and have over 900 garages nationally. National Service Networks can be found at www.nsn.co.uk.

If you have chosen our network labour rate and would prefer to use your local or known repairer - the claims administrators will only pay up to the equivalent of that charged by the network of repairers and that is currently £35 outside the M25 area and £42 inside the M25.

You can of course choose to pay a little extra for your warranty and have a franchised dealer labour rate which will enable you to have your vehicle repaired by your chosen franchised dealer.

Any claim made within the first 30 days of your warranty will require a 50% contribution - please refer to full policy booklet for further details. Please be aware claims will not be paid for faults that existed before buying your warranty.
