- My car does not have an existing MOT as it is not yet 3 years old. Can I still Buy MOT Failure Insurance?
You can buy cover providing cover is purchased at least 3 months before the first MOT is due.
- Can I transfer an MOT Failure Insurance to another vehicle?
No. The policy cannot be transferred.
- Does MOT Insurance cover parts and labour?
Yes. It will pay all eligible parts and the associated labour to fit those parts – up to a limit of £500.
- What happens if I miss my MOT test date?
The policy will pay valid claims from 30 days prior to and 30 days after the MOT test date.
- Where can I take my car to be repaired?
You may choose a preferred repairer providing that repairer is vat registered and charges a reasonable market rate for parts and labour.
- Can I renew an MOT Failure Insurance policy?
You can renew an MOT Failure Insurance policy providing your vehicle meets the eligibility criteria at the time of renewal.
- Do you cover all makes and models?
No. The following models are excluded from cover - FSO, Maserati, Bentley, Morgan, Bristol, AC, Cadillac, Caterham, Daimler, Ferrari, Tata, Lamborghini, HMC, Lotus, Marcos, Westfield, Coleman Milne, De Tomaso, Starling, Marlin, Rolls Royce, Venturi, Nissan Skyline, or Kit Car.
