Making A Claim

As with all insurances, it’s important to follow the claims procedure outlined within the policy Terms & Conditions issued to you at the time of purchasing the policy. Car2cover.co.uk does not handle or process claims. All claims are handled by your insurer’s dedicated claims teams.

Gap Insurance Claims

If we arranged a Gap Insurance policy for you and you need to make a claim – please follow the claims procedure outlined within your policy terms & conditions by contacting the claims team directly.

  • If your policy has the prefix UKGG you will need to contact the insurer’s claims team on 0191 258 8151 or email claims@mbginsurance.com and quote your policy number and/or vehicle registration number.
  • If your policy has the prefix of CTPG you will need to contact the insurer’s claims team on 03300 555 257 or e-mail claims@motorwaydirect.co.uk and quote your policy number and/or vehicle registration number.

Tyre Insurance Claims

Important information for Tyre Insurance claims

Occasionally, you may require emergency assistance out of hours and will be unable to contact the Claims Administrator to obtain a claim authority number. Under these circumstances, you will need to settle the tyre retailers invoice and claim reimbursement from the Claims Administrator. You must call the Claims Administrator and leave a message confirming your intent to make a claim on the policy and request that the retailer retains the Damaged Tyre(s) to allow inspection by an independent engineer should this be necessary. It is your responsibility to ensure that the Damaged Tyre(s) are available for inspection and failure to do so may invalidate your claim.

SMART (Scratch & Dent) Insurance Claims

What our customers say about their claim experience

"Having woke this morning and checked the bank account it is a huge relief to confirm we are in funds to the tune of £26,441.69. I cannot thank you all enough for this back to invoice GAP payment......I can confirm that your policy has indeed lived up to the claimed benefit `back to invoice’ and for that - I thank you"
